With over 16 years of salon ownership and management, I have built my career on passion, education and creating beautiful hair. I am a regional salon owner, educator and mum who has lived the small-town salon life. Running a salon gave me real experience in colour, styling, leadership, business growth and staff development.
Training and mentoring my team has always been at the centre of what I do, and seeing stylists grow in confidence and build their own careers is one of my proudest achievements.
From early on, I knew I was all in. My passion has always been colour, especially foiling, blondes and lived-in lightening. Being blonde myself, I know how important it is to get the tone right and keep the hair healthy.
In 2009, I bought my first salon while I was six months pregnant with my first son, Samuel. I had minimal time off, then went straight back into building the business. Two years later, my second son, Lachlan, arrived and I did the same again.
By 2013, I was running two salons 45 minutes apart, moving one into a new location, training apprentices, managing a team and constantly upskilling. Somewhere in that chaos I also began teaching hairdressing at TAFE. After six years juggling teaching, two salons and raising my family, I made the tough decision to close one salon and move the other into a larger space to meet demand. I continued to train my team while running the business and realised how much I loved the teaching aspect.

Why I Teach
I started Leaha’s Hair Education because I was asked again and again. Do you offer in-salon training. Will you travel. The answer is yes. I have lived the regional salon reality, trained teams and raised a family while running a business. I also know how hard it can be to access good education when you are outside the city. Now I bring education to the salons that need it most.
What I Specialise In
Blondes are my specialty. Over the years I have refined techniques that create seamless blends, beautiful tones and effortless, lived-in colour. I simplify blonding and foiling so stylists can achieve standout results without unnecessary complexity.
My Approach to Education
I teach practical, adaptable, salon-friendly techniques that work behind the chair. Sessions are hands-on and realistic, designed to build confidence, speed and consistency. Whether you are an apprentice starting out or an experienced colourist looking to master advanced techniques, my salon education meets you where you are and helps you level up.
I share both the how and the why behind colour so stylists can think creatively and problem-solve in any situation. Education for me is about more than formulas and foils. It is about inspiring creativity, building confidence and creating a supportive community of hair professionals.
Where and How I Teach
I deliver in-salon education for hairdressers at every stage of their hairdressing career across regional NSW, QLD and Victoria. Training is available as half-day or full-day formats. I also offer one-on-one education, and look and learn workshops all tailored to meet the needs of my education clients. Travel is quoted by location. Private education can be hosted in my space, and online education is coming soon for rural and remote stylists.
